What are the Odds
My passion lies in exploring, among others, the concept of kitsch and staged photography. Using my crafted compositions and guided by a deep appreciation for the absurdities of life, I capture moments of whimsy, ultimately inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences and find a sense of joy and curiosity in the world around them. Through this approach, I question societal norms and push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable. My photographs often have a humorous undertone and I play with the juxtaposition of the odd and nearly grotesque. By exploring the line between what is considered beautiful and what is perceived as bizarre, this body of work serves as a commentary on the arbitrary nature of aesthetic standards.
